Digital isolator4/20/2023 ![]() ![]() No other EMI or noise mitigation design features are included on this board. The board follows best printed circuit board (PCB) design practices for 4-layer boards, including a full power and ground plane on each side of the isolation barrier. The board includes 200 mil header positions for compatibility with Tektronix active probes (not supplied with board). Terminal blocks provide for power connections. Signal sources can conducted to the board through header pins or through edge-mounted SMA connectors (not supplied with board). This supports signal distribution, loopback, and loads referenced to VDDx or GNDx, as well as optimal bypass capacitance. ![]() The evaluation board provides a JEDEC standard 8-lead SOIC_N and SOIC_W pad layout. The EVAL-1CH2CHSOICEBZ supports single and dual channel standard data isolators in 8 lead SOIC packages. The ADuM1200-EP supports defense and aerospace applications (AQEC) Hybrid electric vehicles, battery monitor, and motor drive.See the Automotive Products section for more details. Unlike other optocoupler alternatives, the ADuM120x isolators have a patented refresh feature that ensures dc correctness in the absence of input logic transitions and during power-up/power-down conditions.ĪDuM1200W and ADuM1201W are automotive grade versions qualified for 125☌ operation per AEC-Q100. In addition, the ADuM120x provide low pulse width distortion (<3 ns for CR grade) and tight channel-to-channel matching (<3 ns for CR grade). Both parts operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling a voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. The ADuM120x family of isolators provides two independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide). Further-more, iCoupler devices consume one-tenth to one-sixth the power of optocouplers at comparable signal data rates. The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with these iCoupler products. The typical optocoupler concerns regarding uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature and lifetime effects are eliminated with the simple iCoupler digital interfaces and stable performance characteristics. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technologies, this isolation component provides outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocouplers.īy avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers. The ADuM1200 is a dual-channel, digital isolator with 2/0 directionality based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler ® technology. ![]()
